Bucks county is a nice event for the lower levels. THey offer BN-T so there isnt as much chaos as the larger events that run through I or A. In one field there is a nice gallopy track and in the other it is a bit more enclosed and a little hilly. The water jump is simple for all levels but I think they may be fixing it up for spring. All levels are straightfoward, but the only trappy thing is the ditch. It comes out of no where and catches some horses and riders off guard. Overall, a nice event for all levels, esp. for new comers to eventing or moving up a level.

TRAINING LEVEL

Terrain - 2
Jumps - 4
Distance - 2

Expect a MAXED out training course. Almost every fence is very big and solid, not a lot of technical questions and it is mostly flat galloping land on this course. The biggest problem with the training divisions was the 1/2 coffin. When I competed there in the spring, I think 3 of the 10 in my division got round clean. At least 4 were eliminated and the others had 1 or 2 stops. The other training divisions had the same problems. The coffin is WIDE and DEEP. If you have a ditchy horse or are not great w/ ditches yourself, I wouldnt suggest this event.

The event itself was beautiful and very well run. Voulenteers were very nice. We recieved lots of prizes, dressage arenas were very nice w/ a large warm up, XC course is very well maintained w/ fantastic footing, stadium was had beautiful fences, the facility in general was A++.
