P, I
Terrain: 3 (built on the side of a hill, and the higher the level you compete, the further up and back down that hill you have to go)
Jumps: 2.5 (Solid, well-built -- spot on for level. The tiger trap looks a little intimidating at prelim, but always rides great)

This is eventing au naturel. Dennis works the XC course a bunch before the event, but the whole competition is staged on natural turf. The dressage and SJ can be VERY hard and uneven in spots if there hasn't been enough rain, or it can be VERY deep and chopped up if there's been too much rain. Although the stadium jumping is moved from spot to spot on the property, once the jumps and lines are set for a certain event, they will stay there all day. That means if you are riding later in the day, after several other divisions have gone, you can count on the footing being chopped up & slippery, assuming it's not rock-hard from drought.
The cross-country is solidly built and fun.
No running water (including for horses & in stabling). Water is trucked in. Vendors on site.

I'm interested in Training level comments. My daughter is moving up from Novice and the Sept. Plantation will be her 3rd Training event and we have never been there before. 8/07
