weave a dream is a great event. They also only run BN-T, so its a more low key environment. All courses are on the smaller side and straighforward. There are two creek crossings required for all levels, but not on the course. the water is small, however the novice has a jump off a corner and then only a few strides to the water. Horses not good with water may have trouble. training is a bank down to a log out. All courses are good move up courses. Training is a solid but smaller than most. good terrain with some hills. Dressage is in an indoor, outdoor or field. in the past, the field ring is hilly and horses can catch a glimpse of the horses going xc. (can make for a wild ride!) Show jumping was in grass on a hill, but very much consistent with xc questions. GREAT event, organizers and course.

W-A-D is a great 1st time at Training in terms of getting over the jumps. However, it's a bit winding and does not allow the horse to just gallop & jump. If you have a strong horse, then this is perfect. If you have a horse that needs the gallop, then I wouldn't use this as your 1st one. One year, they had a two controversial fences, which have since been removed: #3 & 4 were two max verticals: #3 vertical (ramp later replaced with hanging log) down a hill to about 5 bending strides to max narrow vertical, on the hill. It was a prelim question (we had no problems with it but there were tons of refusals and eliminations). The water is kind of odd, but it's fun b/c it reminds me of a little Roman spa or something. Agreed about the organizers- really great crew.
