The P course here was quite technical. There was a corner, coffin, and a spooky water.
The I course was pretty straightforward and is a good move up course. It was significantly easier than the CIC** course.
The terrain was a bit hilly but not overly tough.

Also I forgot to add to the last that the footing for dressage and stadium is amazing and the permanent stabling is beautiful. They had nice washrooms and a shower. The only problem was not enough camper hookups. A very nice well run event with good packages too!

Prelim, Feb event 2006

As others have said, the footing for dressage and sj is incredible!

Showjumping was big and technical with several bending lines, a liverpool (which I came to find out is standard at winter events in the south!), a one stride, and a triple( 2 one strides).

XC was really cool and well designed. It was actually my horse's first Prelim, and everything rode well. The first water at the Mulberry Pond is deceiving because it's early in the course (4th fence) and has a downhill approach to a log, one stride to a drop into the pond, lots of problems here. The Depot was double barrels, 4? bending strides to a bench with an overhang, 3 bending strides to an angled barricade with railroad tracks for the groundline (rode really well). The second water got a lot of people as well. It was a smallish drop in, 5 or so strides in the water to a dock that you could see water underneath, bending line to a narrow angled fence out of the water, then a sharp right turn to half an upside down canoe (skinny). The last combination was an angled coop going downhill, 6 strides to a big right pointed corner, then an immediate left to a bank complex that was up bank, 2 strides bounce up over a brush fence. There were some nice galloping fences and another skinny question as well.

Terrain 2.5 (pretty hilly in places)
Jumps 3
Distance 2

Fabulous event overall!
