This is a forum to find out about and give evaluations of USEA horse trials and events -- define what really IS "average, for horses with some experience at this level"!

There were a few challenging jumps on this course at the Summer horse trials (Aug 05)... a half-coffin, a log coming downhill off of a (small) hill, a pretty tall step-jump, some larger brush jumps, and a couple of waters. But, the land is flat, flat, flat, and the jumps are fun.
My horse ran his first USEA BN here in fall... the course rode very nicely. The only part that might get some greenies is the train tracks (we got a train right next to us, he didn't care).
The ditch was really just mulch, and everything else seemed easy. There is one funky fence that some horses looked at - a skinny brush fence with two huge pine trees on either side to hold them in.
The novice course really was maxed out at some points, however...

Backyard-style event. Courses are the same from year to year, and even though most people are local, they often make you pay for stabling. The water complex used to be borderline dangerous, but I've heard they've upgraded it somewhat. It's fine for a place to get out and kick around, but there's not much to recommend it. Training is on the easy side, as is the Novice.
